Back in December, like the 17th, I was going to my GFs. I was making a left turn on a 3 way intersection. The light was green and traffic was busy since its near a school and supermarkets at 5 pm. I waited as the light was green, but there was oncoming traffic. The cars yielded to me after a wait since there was another stop light about 50-80 yards away from this intersection. The coast was clear. So I make the turn and this fuckin GM truck comes speeding up with no brakes applied and T-bones me from the right. My precious Z spins a full circle moving forward. I quickly throw it in reverse and then steer it into a parking lot so I don't block the intersection or have another car hit us. My baby was totalled and that bitch GM had his radiator bust on the spot and his axle bent. And then I got the ticket, and so my insurance pays, and goes up. That's no good for a 18 year old with a couple of speeding tickets. They gave me 5500 for it. Couldn't take my rims or anything, since the right rear rim was hit. They also say they won't insure another z for me (one that I can afford), aswell as any other sports car. So that's not good to hear. Then last week a Twin Turbo popped up, for 3500. It would have been a good project car. My dad was going to get it for me after looking since it's near the house and I'm away at college. Turn's out it was sold yesterday evening. :( I'm just so depressed and angry right now. I mean it was my fault I guess, I should have just waited for the light to turn red, and then the arrow green. I go through that light all the time though. But still the guy had another light coming up with stopped traffic ahead and he was going atleast 40 through the intersection to have totalled my car. I still think that the guy could have a done a lot better to lessen the damage. When I talked to him, he seemed convince that it was his fault, not that he said directly, but he said he hopes the insurance will forget whos fault it is, yea like that happened... I went two years with my z, only a couple of tickets, no major accidents and now this. I'm beggining to think I'll never own another Z again... All I can do is rot and wait here in college, until hopefully a good Z pops up, as there none around the two areas I can reach. But the wait feels so long, I miss the Z. I'm not even sure I can insure it. I was going to buy the TT for 3500, leave it home for when i visit and spend another 3000 or so for a FF econo car. But that's not going to happen now. Sorry for the long post, just had to vent.
